Who do You Watch
Which microstockers do you watch and why?
Posted July 28th, 2009 by Lee Torrens

Interesting list, will study it.
Thats one heck of a list! I’m surprised you get time to do anything else if you keep any eye on all those guys!
I watch Matt at NiltoMil too as well as glimpse at some of the well-known top microstockers such as Yuri and Andres. I just have a gander at their SS ports every know and then.
Thanks for providing that list though. I think i will refer to it from time to time.
Steven.
Thanks Steve, keeping a page like this makes it quicker. Plus I don’t do it too frequently. This way it’s not a great time waster, though it could be without a little discipline.
I referred to this list myself from time to time, so I figured I might as well share it.
Thanks for watching Lee!
No worries Josh, I like your work.
Darnit! I didn’t make your list!
Maybe next year. Hehehe
Hey Yanik, yeah, you’ve been out of radar for a while. Where have you been? You need to comment more.
Yah, I pop buy often but I’m more of a lurker.
My blog is keeping me super busy + all these pesky photo contracts get in the way of my retirement!
I do post a lot on Twitter (yanikphoto) though! At least 1 IPhone photo a day….
Thanks for the list. I don’t have time to watch them all closely but I like to take a look at portfolios of top-selling guys to get idea what are the trends now.
Great list Lee – thanks for sharing!
I keep an eye at many from your list and a few others:
John Lund (http://www.johnlund.com/blogger.htm, http://twitter.com/stockphotoguy)
Forgiss (http://twitter.com/forgiss)
and occasionally few others
and http://fashionphotographyblog.com/ is worth mentioning – not related to stock but interesting reading
Thanks Lee! (I think
)
Wau! nice list, I will look at their sites soon.
Some of them I know, and I think, that I visited some of their portfolios (when I was browsing on some microstock site). But regularly I’m visiting only portfolios of my friends
Definitely should watch this guy too, his name isn’t known yet, but will be.

Thanks Lee for the precious list and your readers for the suggestions, so I’ll have a look to the work of:
- Forgiss
- Laflor
- Yanik’s Photo School
- John Lund stockphotoguy highly recommended!
Cheers,
roberto
I watch Yuri Arcurs for obvious reasons.
Hopefully you’ll be watching me soon, too.
@josh:
Looks like Laflor went through the Yuri Arcurs school…
Great list!! I am an exclusive illustrator for istockphoto with about 35000++ downloads. Still far from being microstock celebrities but I am working my way to the top! One fine day, I shall be in your list
Jamie, your success at iStock is impressive. I might have to do a similar list for illustrators!
Excellent list, thanks! I will be sure to check them all out.
Thanks for the great list. It is fun to follow what the top contributors are submitting.
