23 Jul 2015 Adobe Scoops up Shutterstock’s Scott Braut as new Head of Content

Adobe has today announced Scott Braut as their new Head of Content for Creative Cloud.  He will be directing operations and content strategy for Adobe’s cloud service product.

Scott is well known in the industry, primarily as Shutterstock’s VP of Content, a position he held from late 2011 to January of this year.  Prior to that he was General Manager for Bigstock, and has experience working with Digital Railroad, Corbis and Associated Press.

He also spoke at the 2013 Microstock Expo – pictured above speaking with Yuri Arcurs and Bruce Livingstone – demonstrating his deep insights in the market, which will no doubt be put to good use at Adobe.

This is a new role at Adobe, created as part of the strategic moves to better integrate content into the Creative Cloud product suite – the key driver for Adobe’s acquisition of Fotolia late last year.  Fotolia wasn’t mentioned in the announcement, consistent with plans to focus on the core Adobe brand.

The announcement includes a brief interview with Scott where he provides some interesting points about his view of the future of imagery.
