02 Mar 2016 Dreamstime out with Subscription Changes and New Executive Hire
Signs of life are emerging from Dreamstime who yesterday put out an announcement about subscription changes and a new hire – industry veteran Andrew Watzenboeck, formerly from Fotolia, as their new Corporate Sales Director for North America.
Subscriptions Changes
The new subscription offer adds low-cost plans in monthly and annual subscriptions, sized by the number of monthly downloads. The new lowest tier offers 5 monthly downloads for $39 and 10 for $69. It was launched with a promotional 100% discount for the 5 downloads option.
Dreamstime had dropped daily download limits in June last year along with the rest of the industry.
The company said these modifications are intended to better serve their customers, as they’re seeing movement away from on-demand image packs towards subscriptions.
New Sales Director
At the same time the company also announced Andrew Watzenboeck as their new Corporate Sales Director for the company’s North America division. Watzenboeck comes from Director of Business Development and Corporate Accounts position at Fotolia / Adobe Stock, having held similar positions at Jupiterimages and Getty Images previously. He’ll be in charge of Dreamstime’s corporate operations in the continent.
They said the adjustments in subscriptions is one of several moves they’ll be doing this year to improve customer experience and maintain their position in the industry.
