07 Sep 2007 FeaturePics Gives Bloggers Free Images, Almost
FeaturePics have announced a new license for blogs. Some images are available to bloggers without payment, though there are a few catches:
- image sizes are small
- images remain hosted on the FeaturePics website
- images are linked back to the FeaturePics website
The image on the right is an example of the trademarked Blog Use License.
This is a creative strategy launched to generate value from bloggers, many of whom otherwise steal images. If successful, it will generate significant quantities of traffic to the FeaturePics website.

Found not all images are available to bloggers. I wish FeaturePics will make more clear how to select this type of images. A clue – you need to select Blog Use License on the left when searching…
