28 Feb 2008 Lev Dolgachov – Microstock Celebrity
Lev Dolgachov is a widely published and popular – some would say “famous” – photographer. He has photos published in VOGUE, Playboy, Penthouse, Men’s Health, Maxim, FHM, Glamour, Marie Claire, ELLE, InStyle and many others. All of the photos used by these magazines were purchased from microstock agencies. And Dolgachov wouldn’t have it any other way.
He shoots primarily in a studio and his most popular subjects are beautiful women who he portrays with an artistic style and excellent technical proficiency. There are many aspects of Lev Dolgachov’s work that other microstock photographers would do well to observe.
By choice, Dolgachov isn’t a pro microstocker despite earning more than enough. Also, like so many top microstockers, money isn’t his primary motivator. Dolgachov shoots out of passion – a detail that’s evident when you see his portfolio.
