Ron Chapple is one of the world’s top microstock photographers. In fact, he’s one of the world’s leading stock photographers whether rights-managed or royalty free. And with good reason. Ron is an established photographer who chose to follow the royalty-free trend early and is now reaping the rewards. His portfolio is full of top quality shots of interesting subjects. Ron created Thinkstock, an e-commerce royalty-free website that sold the photos in his portfolio through a global network of stock agencies. In 2004, Thinkstock was acquired by Jupitermedia.
Ron Chapple Studios produces images which are sold in all stock photography markets from high-end rights-managed to microstock. iofoto is the name of their microstock collection. The studio employs 5 people consisting of editors, digital artists, photographers and production staff. Ron also works in video providing aerial HD for an amazing client roster.

Background
Ron started shooting when he was 16 years old. In college, he continued to explore photography and shot his first fashion project at 19 years old. At 21 and just out of college, Ron started his first studio.
Before turning his hand to stock photography in 1992, Ron shot “fashion, people and annual reports”. He was already a successful and widely published photographer working out of his North Carolina studio. Ron is a frequent panelist at PhotoPlus and thrives on creating images for business or just plain fun.
