This Month in Microstock – January 2008
Posted by Lee Torrens
2008 got off to a dynamic start, with innovations, milestones and controversy:
iStockphoto tried international pricing resulting in a temporary bonus for contributors.
Dreamstime added a handy feature which shows the keywords used for each sale.
SnapVillage opened up to buyers outside the US and surpassed 160,000 images online.
Fotolia passed the 3 million images online milestone. Again.
Yuri Arcurs became the first non-exclusive contributor to reach the highest canister level, Black Diamond, at iStockphoto.

And Fotolia offers new sizes to download
Thanks Jan, I missed that one.
Fotolia introduced an extra small and extra large image size and adjusted their pricing. Details here.

Is Fotolia really deleting images older than 18 months that haven’t sold? That kinds sucks. Some of my old crappy images do get downloaded occasionally for the 1st time on SS.
Yes, I understand they’re continuing with that program since the V2 upgrade.
