01 Nov 2007 This Month in Microstock – October 2007
October 2007 wasn’t as explosive and controversial as some of the previous months, but there were some newsworthy events.
Shutterstock offered a temporary special offer to buyers who’d created a browse account but never purchased a subscription. They could pay $39/€32/ £22 for a seven day subscription with a daily limit of five images. The offer is available until November 11 and only by invitation.
[This post previously reported incorrectly that the offer was publicly available. Corrected November 1]
Dreamstime announced a new subscription commission of 30 cents and new image levels, effectively a raise in price and royalties. Changes take effect November 1.
Crestock launched an updated website design further setting the stage for their push to the top.
StockXpert added subscriptions joining Shutterstock and Dreamstime with a high 30 cent royalty per download.
